I've been kind of dragging my butt writing a 2018 retrospective. I looked at the 2017 one and it turns out I'm still working on #1 of my goals for 2018 and those goals have not changed for 2019. My unofficial goal was to have all my PC's desktops be screenshots of Miranda, and although it took some time, Miranda did finally take over a few months back.

The #1 goal this year was to make Miranda prettier and overall I'm pleased with the way Miranda is looking. Although this week I played Assassin's Creed Origins and it's beautiful deserts made me reconsider how I'm doing grass, so I got new grass tech coded on Friday and I'll be hooking art into it tomorrow. ACO also made me buy a bunch of plant assets to make one of the biomes a little greener.

It feels like the QA pass on Bold New World is nearing completion. It has been a couple days since I've found any new bugs. I went through 478 crash reports, my bug database as well as user-submitted bugs.

As of a couple of days ago it has been a whole year since I've put out an update with actual fun features in it. That sucks, sorry about that. The plan is for 2019 to go a little differently.

Here's some numbers for 2018:

115,791,025,535 bytes of project files.
326,536 lines of C++ code.
229 additions and changes.
109 bugs fixed.
22 blog posts.
1 update.
